There has been another addition to our Group of companies with the acquisition of USA-based Decatur Electronics Incorporated.
Based in Illinois, the company is one of the four leading police radar manufacturers in the United States.
Decatur Inc. designed and manufactured the first radar for police more than 50 years ago. It also designs and builds in-car video systems and speed and message trailers for law enforcement, schools and other applications.
Last year B&K announced that our Homeland Security Division was expanding with the acquisition of TW Mobile Engineering Technologies, based in San Diego and Panoptech based in Hampshire.
Decatur Electronics Incorporated becomes the sixth member of the Division alongside Sonic Communications, Cell Security, Transvisual Media, TW Mobile Engineering and Panoptech.
Group Financial Director, Melvin Sheldon, said: “We are pleased to combine Decatur Electronics Inc. into our specialist group of companies. This will result in a series of new product developments resulting in strong product designs that will continue to benchmark quality within this very vibrant industry.
